Technicians

 

CONTRACT TYPE: Established

HOURS:  5 days/evenings per week | 40hr contract

SALARY:  £24,800 - £29,250 depending on location & experience

 

THE PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

The AV Technician will be responsible for delivering high-quality audio, visual, and lighting services on park, while providing additional support to the central AV department. This role will involve maintaining and operating technical equipment for live events, entertainment, and other park activities. You will ensure all AV systems are running smoothly, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support for the park’s entertainment oerings. The ideal candidate will be flexible, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and possess a solid understanding of AV technology.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Technical Operation: Set up, operate, and maintain audio, lighting, and visual systems for live performances, shows, events, and entertainment programs across the park
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all AV equipment is in good working order, performing regular checks and basic repairs or maintenance as needed
  • Troubleshooting: Quickly and effectively resolve technical issues related to sound, lighting, and AV equipment during live events to ensure minimal disruption to performances
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the park’s entertainment team and the central AV department to meet production needs and deliver excellent AV services
  • Installation: Assist with the installation of new AV systems and technology across the park, ensuring equipment is correctly set up and functional
  • Health & Safety: Follow all health and safety procedures, ensuring all equipment is safely installed and operated to protect staff and guests
  • Documentation: Maintain records of equipment usage, repairs, and event setups to ensure proper inventory is updated via Current RMS
  •  Support Central AV Department: Liaise with the central AV team, providing on-the-ground technical support for wider AV needs across other Parkdean locations
  • Training: Provide basic training to other staff members on operating AV equipment, when necessary.

SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Some of the skills and experience we are looking for:
  • Proven experience in an AV Technician role, ideally within the leisure, entertainment, or hospitality industry
  • Strong knowledge of audio systems, lighting rigs, visual displays, and related software/hardware
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues under pressure
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to technical setups and AV equipment
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
