Trouper Dancer
HOURS: 6 days/evenings per week | 40hr contract
SALARY: £12.21 per hour
THE PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Forming part of the on-park Entertainment Team, the role of a Trouper is to prepare for, present and perform within a varied family entertainment programme; consisting of daytime activities, crafts, light entertainment events, gameshows, character performances and production shows (role-dependent). A Trouper should demonstrate high standards of customer service and assist the Entertainment Manager in creating amazing holiday memories for our customers.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Setting up, hosting and presenting daytime activities, including arts & crafts.
- Performing as members of our character mascot family; and acting as a minder for meet & greet events.
- Hosting, comparing and presenting staged events.
- Organising, preparing for, and hosting daily Bingo sessions.
- Learning and performing party dances.
- Assisting with and presenting staged gameshows, competitions and events.
- Operating disco and sound/light equipment.
- Performing public relations duties, representing the company and Trouper brand in a highly professional manner, as per the company guidelines. This includes dancing with guests of all ages.
- Always having time for and being friendly to customers of all ages.
- Answering customer queries or assisting by finding someone who can.
- Trouper Dancers – in addition to the above listed duties: learn, rehearse and perform within Parkdean Resorts production shows.
SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Some of the skills and experience we are looking for:- Cheerful and friendly disposition
- Highly organised and punctual
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures, scripts, rotas and programmes.
- Experience within a family entertainment environment is desirable.
- Experience of using a microphone and stage presentation is desirable, though not essential
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to make conversation with customers of all ages
- Trouper Vocalists – experience in stage performance, with the ability to sing a wide variety of musical genres to an acceptable standard. Pre-written ‘cabaret-style’ stage sets are desirable, though not essential Performance levels must remain to the standard taught at pre-season rehearsals
- Trouper Dancers – experience in stage performance, with the ability to learn, retain and perform a wide variety of dance genres to an acceptable standard. Performance levels must remain to the standard taught at pre-season rehearsals
