This is a key role in the Digital Trading and Product Management Team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day trading performance and optimisation of our Holiday Sales ecommerce platform.
This is a multidisciplinary role, the Ecommerce Trading Manager will play an important part in the continuous development of our ecommerce products, platform, and the positioning of our products.
This role will be reporting directly to the Head of Digital Trading and Product Development to ensure we deliver our online sales targets by optimising our online experience, promotional and
conversion opportunities.
This role will work closely with all areas of our commercial and revenue teams to ensure that we have the best possible trading experience for our customers.
Your day-to-day duties will be:
·Accountability for driving ecommerce sales and development of ongoing digital trading and promotional strategy. You will be responsible for the sale of the products and optimising the customer journey to improve conversion rates and meet online KPIs
·Accountable for managing the day-to-day trading activities and execution of website management
·Management and reporting of daily / weekly / monthly / annual trade performance providing detailed analysis of key business drivers and producing action plans to ensure sales and contribution targets are met
·Management of the Trading and Optimisation Team (Digital Platform Manager and Data Analyst) and work closely with our UX Design Team and agency partners
·Working with the relevant teams across our business to understand and analyse our seasonal sales patterns to maintain commercial awareness, understanding of key competitors and customer behaviour
·Collaborate with key stakeholders to plan our Ecommerce trading calendar, lead the delivery and reporting of all on-site promotions and content activity
·Contribution to the development of UX and conversion optimisation roadmaps working with our Product development and UX Design teams
·Accountable for the optimisation of site navigation, customer journey and product placement to maintain growth and drive online sales
·You will work closely with the digital marketing team to ensure product and trading strategies are supported by the digital marketing strategy for all channels
·Weekly reporting with your team members and the wider business on website performance
·Build excellent relationships and work closely with the revenue and marketing teams to formulate trading plans and bring them to life in our digital environment
Experience needed:
·Online / Ecommerce / Web trading experience
·Travel or experience sector experience a definite bonus
·Agile development knowledge
·CMS development experience (Sitecore a bonus)
·Strong commercial acumen
·Highly organised and driven
·Experience in working with web analytics (e.g. Google Analytics) and conversion optimisation/experimentation tools (Optimise360, Optimzely or similar and click stream analysis tools)
·A good understanding of pricing and promotional strategy
·Great communicator / team player / the ability to form strong working relationships
