A real-life look into a Holiday Home Sales career

Now in his 18th year in the sales profession, Richard Snow has come full circle, starting out in Sales Administration before progressing onto Advisor and Manager roles across a number of our 65 parks UK-wide.

We sat down for a catch-up with Richard to hear more about his Parkdean journey so far.

So Richard, when did you join Parkdean and why?

I originally joined in 2005 as a salesperson. 

I was drawn in because Parkdean is a local reputable business to me, and what’s not fun about working on a holiday park every day?!

Walk us through your journey so far

I worked as a salesperson at Naze Marine before changing roles to a Sales Administrator. 

I’ve worked at Naze Marine, Camber Sands in Essex, and Valley Farm as a Sales Administrator, before being offered my first Sales Manager role at Weeley Bridge in 2021. 

After 6 months at Weeley Bridge Holiday Park, I was offered the opportunity to return to Naze Marine as their Sales Manager which was another step up for me. I’ve been here for coming up to three years now, so I’ve gone full circle at Naze Marine from salesperson to administrator, to manager!

Since joining, what has been your proudest moment to date?

My proudest moment was being recognised and offered the Sales Manager role – it was a big day for me.

What do you enjoy most about your role as Sales Manager in the holiday home industry?

I enjoy the pace, I enjoy that every day is different and that we help families enjoy quality time together in an amazing location.
