Collections and Billing Manager
Our Collections and Billing Manager role oversees the daily management of the Collections & Billing finance team. Supporting the Head of Finance Shared Services to deliver first class service to our internal & external customers whilst inspiring the team to drive excellence and continuous improvement.

What you will be doing:
- Develop the mission and vision for Collections & Billing, ensuring that strategy changes in the parks are supported & aligned with the Collections & Billing roadmap.
- Lead and manage the Collections & Billing team, ensuring that the team are fully supported and highly motivated to deliver a 1st class service.
- Issue Weekly Debt Reports to the senior leadership team summarising the debt position, highlighting key issues, insight on debt movement and areas for escalation.
- Prepare reporting pack and presenting at the Weekly Credit Risk meeting with SLT providing oversight in debt movement, detailed analysis and actions on key areas.
- Ensure all billing is accurate and delivered to deadlines. Managing the workload and wider stakeholder relationships involved in the billing function.
- Work as a cohesive unit to ensure everyone is proactively involved in driving continuous improvement in process and service delivery.
- Ownership of defaulted Owner debt recovery including working closely with the outsource debt company to drive recovery of aged debt and assist with queries and reporting.
- Ensure adequate planning and task management tools are in place to monitor requirements and completion of key tasks.
- Accountable for completion of month end duties including reconciliations in line with the month end timetable.
- Ensure there are a robust system of controls and KPI’s that will allow effective and efficient management of team and park compliance and performance.
- Identify and maintain the department risk register that highlights core risks and appropriate risk mitigation and controls.
- Responsible for escalation of system issues and working with Applications / IT to prioritise issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Support with park visits, training and inductions including attendance at annual roadshows out on parks.
- Ensure team policies and procedures are regularly reviewed and updated.
- Identify and effectively implement process improvements.
- Periodic ad-hoc reporting for management teams and other internal customers.
- Development and engagement of the team, setting and reviewing annual objectives for direct reports and wider team, holding regular 121’s and performance reviews, career planning & developing a talent pipeline for the team.
- On occasion you may be asked to perform additional duties or duties unrelated to your role after appropriate training has been given.
- You have a duty to safeguard your own health and safety and that of your colleagues, customers and visitors. You also have a duty to co-operate with management to enable it to comply with its
Some of the skills and experience we are looking for:
- Qualified AAT, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or qualified by experience
- Extensive people management and strong leadership skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to high quality and excellent customer service
- Strong planning, time management and organisational skills
- Flexible and the ability to work in pressurised situations and deliver a quality product to agreed timescales
- Experienced at engineering process improvements – timeliness, accuracy and efficiency
- Highly numerate and analytical with excellent attention to detail
- Passionate about people & customer service
- Experience of high volume transactional process management
- Our parks require 7 day support therefore the successful candidate must be flexible to work occasional weekends.
