Financial Analyst
Working within the highly skilled Financial Strategy & Reporting team, you will support the Senior Financial Strategy & Reporting Analysts to deliver high quality and reliable financial modelling, planning and reporting across P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow for both internal and external stakeholders.
Reporting
- Provide insightful reporting and final outputs to stakeholders that are fit for purpose and suitably dynamic across all 3 financial statements
- Maintenance and distribution of existing reporting in line with weekly / monthly cadence
- Creation of new financial reporting incl. data gathering as required
- Support Senior Analyst with maintence and upkeep of Company wide reporting suite.
Planning
- Support with the production of the P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow for budgets, in year forecasts and strategic plans
- Produce insightful output files with relevant financial analysis including Key Performance Indicators.
Modelling
- Support the team with scoping of new financial modelling across all 3 financial statements
- Testing of new financial modelling within IBM Planning Analytics where required to ensure robustness before implementation
- Provide feedback for continuous improvement and development
- On occasion you may be asked to perform additional duties or duties unrelated to your role after appropriate training has been given
- You have a duty to safeguard your own health and safety and that of your colleagues, customers and visitors. You also have a duty to co-operate with management to enable it to comply with its health and safety duties ensuring quality, compliance and health & safety standards across Finance.
Person Specification
- AAT qualified or equivalent preferred
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Numerate and analytical
- Keen to learn within a changing environment
- Commercial awareness
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience in using business intelligence and management tools
- Use of IBM TM1 desirable but not essential
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to work to tight deadlines.
