In this key role, you'll be leading the team that's responsible for producing, developing, and maintaining the group’s financial reporting processes and you will be responsible for the delivery of high quality and reliable financial planning andreporting across P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow aligned to company strategy.
Responsibilities
- Lead on data-driven oversight of balance sheet and cashflow forecasting, improving processes across multiple finance functions to deliver alignment and excellence in our planning and reporting capabilities.
- Identify and track any potential risks and opportunities to both working capital and balance sheet forecasting.
- Scope out opportunities to streamline and systemise manual tasks around both balance sheet and cash flow reporting through our reporting systems.
- Support on inventory analysis across the group, working cross-functionally with operational teams and finance business partners.
- Review of P&L Budgeting and Forecasting, by reporting on KPIs, variance and trend analysis.
- Analyse & report financial performance across the group covering P&L, working capital, cashflow statements and Balance sheets.
- Oversee preparation of the monthly board pack and commentary, covering financial performance and capital expenditure.
- Work closely with the Senior Finance Strategy Manager, Head of Financial Strategy & Reporting and FD to ensure all reporting requirements for our shareholders are met.
- Provide ad hoc analytical support and scenario planning to senior leadership, contributing to strategic decision-making.
- Delivery of new or ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis requirements.
Experience
- Proven experience with balance sheet and cash flow planning and reporting.
- Strong FP&A analytical experience.
- Financial modelling experience.
People
- Lead and line manage a team of Finance Analysts, including objective setting, mentoring, training, and development planning.
- Role model for our growing talent within FS&R and the wider Finance team.
- On occasion you may be asked to perform additional duties or duties unrelated to your role after appropriate training has been given.
- You have a duty to safeguard your own health and safety and that of your colleagues, customers, and visitors. You also have a duty to co-operate with management to enable it to comply with its health and safety duties ensuring quality, compliance, and health & safety standards across Finance.
