Management Accountant

Job Purpose:

Accounting for Indirect costs and supporting the Senior Finance manager with business partnering for Central functions. Provision of key financial information and insight to Business Unit Management.

Job Description:

• Produce management accounts, variance analysis and commentaries for Indirect Costs.


• Production of monthly reports for business stakeholders, lead on calls to support stakeholder understanding.


• Provide regular and adhoc management reporting and analysis for decision making. Analyse financial information to assist business profitability and growth, working closely with the finance business partners to understand spend and to identify business risks and opportunities.


• Provide support and accounting guidance to business stakeholders, including Marketing, HR, Legal and Corporate Comms.


• Contribute to the budget, forecasting and planning process.


• Completion of Balance Sheet Reconciliations, owning, monitoring and addressing reconciling items, identifying risks and opportunities.


• Responding to Audit requests during the year end process.


• Carry out continuous reviews of work practices to ensure efficient and cost effective operations, suggesting improvements where required.

• Safeguard your own health and safety and that of your colleagues, customers and visitors. Ensuring quality, compliance and Health & Safety standards across the Finance Team.


• Ensuring an appropriate internal control framework is in place to safeguard the business and ensure compliance with financial standards and regulations.

Person Specification:

• Part Qualified


• Experience of multi-site or similar size Business


• Sun systems knowledge preferred


• Experience of Microsoft packages


• Experience of supporting operational teams & Business Partnering
