Senior Management Accountant

An opportunity has arisen at our support office for a Senior Management Accountant to join our Team.

The role:

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager responsible for the accounting for income streams, focusing on Owner Income in order to provide key financial information and insight to the leadership team of the business whilst maintaining a robust controls environment.

• Overall Owner for the Owner Income P&L (to GP Level) and associated Balance Sheet Rec’s
• Produce monthly / weekly management accounts, variance analysis and commentaries
• Analyse financial information to provide value added commentary to assist business profitability and growth
• Management of Owners Billing calculation process
• Responsible for delivery of timely calculations of annual billing for pitch fees and business rates to owners
• Analyse YOY variances within Billing calculations, understanding, and recording trend differences
• Carry out monthly calculations for owners billing covering utilities, insurance, and recharges, continually reviewing rates charged, ensuring link to the overheads P&L
• Completion of Balance Sheet Reconciliations, owning, monitoring, and addressing reconciling items, identifying risks and opportunities
• Managing the year end process including liaising with auditors and responding to audit queries in a timely manner
• Provide regular and adhoc management reporting and analysis for decision making
• Contribute to the budget and planning process
• Carry out continuous reviews of working practices to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations
• Monitoring and evaluating financial information systems, suggesting automation improvements where required

Person Specification:

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA
• Experience of multi-site or similar size Business
• Experience of supporting operational teams
• Experience of interaction with Shared Services
• Sun systems knowledge preferred
• Experience of Microsoft packages
