Business Development Coordinator
 

The role of the Business Development Coordinator in our Commercial Business Development team is to provide sales and admin support for our various channels to market, building effective working relationships inside and outside of the business. On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for regular reporting, administration of new and existing clients, and maintaining records for a busy and dynamic sales team. A proactive and flexible attitude is needed as you will be answering phone and email enquiries, converting group sales, and delivering fantastic customer service throughout. We work with teams on park and at the central office to enhance the customer experience, whilst our work with local and national businesses creates strong long-term win-win commercials that positively impact the tourist trade surrounding our parks and on a national scale.
 

Job Description:

The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:

• Respond to telephone enquires/electronic requests for allocated business in the defined timeline

• Convert business through proposal, negotiation and contractual agreement to ensure all revenue potential and targets are achieved as [per team & individual KPI’s]

• Utilise selling skills to service all aspects of the booking journey and finding opportunities to maximise revenue by up-selling.

• Ensure follow up takes place with clients and opportunities are sought for repeat bookings

• Suggest positive alternatives through cross-referrals and ensure that business booked is within Park guidelines

• Create & maintain accurate customer account & enquiry records in Traveller & all supporting business logs & reports

• Effective and efficient administration of all elements of the groups/events booking and payment process

• Understanding and production of accurate contracts, proposals, and other booking reports

• Liaise closely with team members to establish needs and expectations and maintain records to develop sales opportunities

• Update external sales collateral to ensure accurate information is shared with external partners/clients

• Utilise analytical tools to track website pages and online sales conversion

• Liaise with other departments within the business to launch special offers with appropriate marketing materials and other supporting sales materials

• Process all correspondence within acceptable agreed timelines

• Build productive relationships with colleagues both internally and externally


Other:

• To build and maintain a strong knowledge of all parks; selling features, benefits and objectives

• Understand and drive achievement of team and individual goals

• Perceive the wider impact of issues on the immediate business environment

• Focus on the customer and find ways to meet, and exceed, their expectations

• Performs other related tasks as assigned by management.

• Complies with Parkdean Resorts policies and procedures.

• Working hours as required to do your job but normally not less than 37.5 hours per week.
