Acts

  • Participate in the sourcing of new acts
  • Attend showcases and maintain accurate records of performers. Utilise acts discovered at these events into the programmed line up
  • Assist with arranging PDR showcases/open days – providing opportunity for potential new acts to showcase direct. Maintain accurate records of performers and utilise the acts who pass the showcase criteria
  • Keep up to date on latest trends/fresh ideas – looking for the next big thing
  • Contacting and liaising with agencies for high profile acts, making enquiries, handling negotiations and contracts including rider and tech requirements

Booking

  • Book acts to enhance the whole on park experience
  • Book bespoke entertainment for specific style of park and/or events. Liaising with parks to meet requirements
  • Weekenders – assist in the creative process of developing events, providing expert information and advice for act proposals. Project manage events where they are act led. Liaise with all relevant parties to ensure seamless delivery of entertainment
  • Contracting of all third party requirements

Systems

  • Keep systems/calendars up to date
  • Identify innovations for systems and processes to enable department to always remain up to date and relevant
  • Prepare briefing documents for Ents Mgrs and GM’s and handle all logistics of touring acts
  • Monitor performance and quality control. Ensure any issues are followed up and addressed with acts
  • Identifying and implementing use of social media platforms to expand network and enhance reputation

Finance

  • Utilise budget for maximum effect
  • Negotiate with artists to ensure best and most suitable fees are agreed
  • Administer and support the finance process for all third parties including invoice checking and approval, liaising with accounts team to handle any queries, liaising with accounts management team for period end figures. Preparing reports for head of department, and translating figures into clear statements or plans of action.
  • Working with the Artists and Features Manager on the development of Holiday Home Owners calendar and developing a portfolio of diverse and popular events.
  • Woking with the Artists and Features Manager on all owners events which will include: sourcing, contracting of all owners events and activities, designing and creating new experiences, project managing events and liaising with park personnel
  • Liaise with owner experience team, ensuring they are fully briefed and up to date on all action plans

Criteria

  • Wide knowledge of acts and agencies within the industry including who is best for certain genres of act, certain locations
  • Knowledge of up and coming acts and agencies (who are the new kids on the block? Who will be the next big players?)
  • Knowledge of celebrity agents, and keeping up to date with activity to identify any potential opportunities (who are the actual booking agents and how do you find if they are the actual representative, who are the key popular celebs, what social media following do they have, what’s in the pipeline)
  • Relationships with wider business including other departments and personnel outside of entertainments
  • Excellent administration and communication skills along with a high standard of personal organisation
  • Accuracy of work including data input, communications, and following instructions
  • Advanced knowledge of software applications – Excel, Word, Power Point, Wetransfer
  • Advanced knowledge of social media platforms – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Whatsapp
  • Drive for personal development and enhanced learning – attending training, participating in new experiences, seeking out new activities
  • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously, meet deadlines and work proactively to drive projects forward
  • Advance knowledge of budgets, finance systems and key contacts within finance department
  • Project management skills
