Hi, my name is Adam and I am the Guest Experience Assistant at Crimdon Dene Holiday Park in County Durham. It was this very company value that persuaded me Parkdean Resorts was the right company for me, and now I’m in my 3rd season here and loving every minute of it.

So, what is it that I love so much about my role here?

Well, I’m glad you asked! We have some amazing company values at Parkdean Resorts that are not there just for show - we live and breathe them! In September 2022, the whole company took part in the Great British Beach Clean - a chance to give back to the beautiful areas we are fortunate enough to be surrounded by at work. I was really excited to of been asked if I would like to be part of this opportunity and said yes at once!

I loved working alongside the Marine Conservation Society who helped me choose my section of beach to clean and gave useful hints and tips to be able to organise the event. I then rounded up all my teammates on park along with our owners on site to get them involved in the clean.

The day was amazing with members across different departments all coming together for a great cause. Parkdean supplied us with all the tools to be able to do the clean, along with a lovely tote bag to give to the volunteers as a thank you for being part of it. Between 10 of us we managed to collect 8 bags of rubbish which weighed 9.72kg collectively across a 100m stretch of beach. We even had pizza and chips for lunch to reward the team for such a great effort.

Having worked in travel and tourism (mainly overseas) for a number of years, it’s been fantastic having a sense of belonging and really making a difference in the local area. It really means a lot to me, and I feel so proud to have taken part in it.
