You will be at the heart of the success of the park through the creation and delivery of highly effective training content which develops the culture and skills of the park team.

So, why Parkdean Resorts?

  • Clear career pathways for those looking to progress

Your day-to-day.

  • In conjunction with our Operations Team and People Business Partner, develop course materials both from the existing library and from a “blank sheet of paper”. This will include research as needed to obtain complete, correct, and current information.
  • You will be developing training content that is fresh, current, and centred around our brand values.  Our park people focus for 2023 will be around culture and leadership training so you will need to have experience in these areas.
  • Work with the Regional Talent Development Officer to use and develop a library of reusable assets such as pictures, video, and templates.
  • Design, develop, author, narrate, record, edit, and implement training content and e-learning including handouts, checklists, manuals, tests/quizzes, presentations, scripts, video, audio, etc.
  • Produce, edit, and deliver engaging training content through web-based, instructor-led, and virtual classroom learning formats.
  • Deliver and attend training as needed to ensure material is effective and to improve current training library.
  • Design and develop learning outcomes assessment activities, including assessment questions, scenarios, and simulations.
  • Proof-read and edit content as needed. Review and test content for accuracy and usability.
  • Review and evaluate training materials and programs as part of our continuous improvement quality program.

Desirable skills:

  • Ability to create engaging, interactive, and effective training materials that enable course-learning objectives and enhance performance. Our park people focus for 2023 will be around culture and leadership training so you will need to have experience in these areas.
  • Application of adult learning and blended learning principles, with special attention to the 70 : 20 : 10 principle of learning transfer.
  • Strong training writing and training content development skills, with focused attention to details with the ability to analyse, organise, and effectively communicate complex ideas through writing.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally
  • Strong proficiency with MS Word & PowerPoint.
  • Strong advisor/partnering skills to work effectively with peers, subject matter experts, and other business partners
  • Ability to quickly learn subject matter
  • Resourceful in finding information and fact checking
  • Basic knowledge of HR related issues to enable you to assist park managers with general queries and formal meetings
  • PDR is committed to Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of Children and Adults at Risk. Background checks including DBS (or equivalent) will be carried out if appropriate.

We want to do all we can to create an environment and recruitment process where people feel safe and comfortable to talk about disability.
