At Parkdean Resorts, we’re all about celebrating incredible talent, and this year’s Apprentice Chef of the Year competition was no exception! 

For the second year running, we headed to Trecco Bay, where some of our most promising Apprentice Chefs stepped up to the plate to show off their skills.

Kieran Swift from White Acres Holiday Park is officially our 2024 Apprentice Chef of the Year! 

The dish that stole the show was Kieran’s American sharing board masterpiece featuring Chilli fries, Mango and pineapple hot wings, Corn ribs, Bang-bang cauliflower and a zesty lime crema to tie it all together.

Kieran didn’t just cook; he put on a show, and trust us, the judges were here for it.

This isn’t just about who can whip up the tastiest dish (although that’s a big part of it). 

The Apprentice Chef of the Year is all about giving our team members a chance to shine, step out of their comfort zones, and show what they’re made of. From aspiring chefs taking their first steps to rising culinary stars, this competition is their moment to shine, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to cheer them on.

Here’s the best part, you don’t have to just imagine Kieran’s award-winning dish - you can try it for yourself! His incredible sharing board will be making its debut on our Boathouse menu next year. So, when you visit, be sure to grab your fork and dig in.
