Authentically Me

My Parkdean Resorts journey began in June 2021 after spending 9 years at British Airways, where I specialised in social media customer service delivery, crisis management and operational disruption.

I’ve an inherent passion for Social Media Marketing alongside reputation management and my role as Social Media Manager has provided me with the platform to apply my strategy and make an impact whilst engaging our existing followers and attracting new ones.

For example, in August 2021, Parkdean’s broadminded attitude and zest for us to be impactful paved the way for me to develop a strategy and implement the launch of our official TikTok account. We were the first holiday park brand to use TikTok as an official social media channel and here in December 2022, this channel has become an active and versatile space among our competitors. We continue to be strategically creative on this channel and currently possess over 32,000 engaged followers with several viral videos.

I thrive on the forward-thinking attitude which flows through our veins at all touchpoints. From Revenue through to our Entertainments team, there is an innate drive for us to succeed in all areas and an underlying respect for the mutual goals we are all working towards, embracing our values along the way. As a proud member of the LGBT community, I view Parkdean Resorts as an inclusive and safe space for me to be my authentic self which is incredibly important.

I was nominated and shortlisted as ‘Rookie of the Year 2021’ and I’ve developed so many of my personal skills, completing professional qualifications including the ‘Marketing Leadership Masterclass’ and QA’s ‘Microsoft Excel Intermediate.’ My direct reports are extremely approachable and encouraging. It’s a pleasure to work as part of our Marketing Team who are true industry experts with a long list of award-winning marketing campaigns under their belt.

I’ve been fortunate to be involved with the strategic planning and delivery of Talent Nation, Nickelodeon and Celebrity Weekenders, throwing myself into the events and capturing content as they unfold, including the unexpected moments. They are labours of love and involve so many internal and external teams working collaboratively to ensure our customers have the best and most memorable experience.

I find Central a fun and friendly place to be and I genuinely love coming into work each day - no two days are ever the same.

I’m grateful for the many opportunities Parkdean Resorts has already provided me with in just 18 months and I can’t wait for 2023!
