Salesforce Lead Engineer
Hybrid - UK-based (with occasional travel to sites)
We have an exciting opportunity for a Salesforce Lead Engineer to join the team, taking ownership of our Salesforce platform.
You’ll ensure our CRM system is reliable, scalable, and supports our business needs. As a hands-on leader, you’ll guide the development team and work closely with Product, Delivery, and Engineering to deliver quality solutions that improve experiences for our guests and colleagues.
What you will be doing:
- Technical Leadership - Lead the design, development, and delivery of Salesforce solutions aligned to business and architectural standards.
- Team Leadership - Manage and mentor Salesforce developers, providing technical guidance and code reviews.
- Engineering Standards - Define and uphold coding, testing, and deployment best practices across the Salesforce platform.
- Integration & Data Management - Oversee integrations between Salesforce and other systems (e.g. web, booking, and finance platforms), ensuring reliable data flows and performance.
- Stakeholder Engagement - Collaborate closely with Product, Delivery, and Engineering teams to support smooth, end-to-end solution delivery.
About you
With proven experience as a Salesforce Engineer or Developer, you’re a proactive and collaborative technical leader who enjoys solving problems and helping others grow. You’ll bring both hands-on expertise and strategic insight to continuously improve our Salesforce platform and the practices around it.
Some of the skills and experience we are looking for:
- Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, and Flow.
- Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce integrations (APIs, middleware, web services).
- Track record of leading or mentoring developers and implementing consistent engineering standards.
- Experience of managing packages of CPQ, Billing, and Vonage.
- Desirable, not essential; Salesforce certifications (e.g. Platform Developer II, Application Architect, or Technical Architect).
