5 reasons you'll love working at Lizard Point
So you’re looking for jobs in Cornwall, are you? You’re on the hunt for something “outside the norm”, that’s fun, meaningful, and comes with bundles of opportunities and a cracking team? Then boy have we got the answer for you - Lizard Point Holiday Park!
If you’re thinking things like “Where is the best place to work in Cornwall?”, we’ve put together some pretty epic reasons why Lizard Point is calling your name!
Picture this: being in the absolutely gorgeous Cornish countryside with scenery straight out of a postcard (and on the most southerly part of the British mainland!) with a lineup of roles to suit every vibe, on a team that makes memories guests will rave about for a lifetime.
Yep, that sums up Lizard Point - where history, wildlife, and stunning sceneries mash together to make a smashing place to work.
Read on to find out just why you should be considering this awesome location as your new workplace.
1. In the heart of the Cornish countryside
Imagine having the Cornish countryside with its lush green fields and rolling hills as your backdrop during breaks. You don’t have to imagine anymore with a career here.
Why not take a relaxing stroll at lunchtime and pick up some famous Cornish ice cream or pastries, enjoying the calming sounds of nature and wildlife as you walk?
Just think of Lizard Point as your daily escape to recharge those batteries and uplift your mind and your mood!
2. Something for everyone
In a fantastic location, we need fantastic people!
There really is something for everyone at Lizard Point. With lots of roles ranging from Holiday Home Sales Advisors and Maintenance Assistants to Bar Staff, Cleaners and Kitchen Assistants, we’re 100% sure you’ll fit right in.
And hey, did we mention that we’re big believers in helping our team reach new heights? As an Ofsted-recognised employer, we offer our superstars (that’s every one of our Parkdeaners!) apprenticeships and leadership programmes too.
Why not jump into a job with pockets full of Parkdean perks, with the added comfort of knowing we’ve got your back from day one?
3. A cracking team
We’re not just about the views and having something for everyone. The real cherry on top is our amazing team. Every day at Lizard Point they’re crafting memories our guests shout about, long after their sunscreen has faded!
No matter what team you join, we promise it’s a one-of-a-kind ride. We know how to have fun here. Everyone builds each other up and when one person wins, everyone does. Rest easy knowing that whichever team catches your eye, you’ll fit right in!
4. Wonderful wildlife
If we haven’t swayed you yet with our awesome teams, our choices of roles, and the beautiful setting, you might think again. Did you know about the wildlife we get to see every day at Lizard Point? Well, listen up! And bonus point - we’re pretty big on looking after wildlife here at Parkdean too.
If you’re a fan of seals, dolphins and whales then you’re in luck. At the Wildlife Watchpoint, that’s open between March and October, you can borrow some binoculars and chat with volunteers about what wildlife discoveries lie in store!
5.Chock-full of history
With the Lizard Wireless Station and the Poldhu Marconi Centre both just a 10-minute drive away from the park, there’s even stuff going on for the history buffs out there.
One thing we love about the area around the park is there’s always something to explore. Whether you’re diving into tales of historic shipwrecks or getting the scoop on the first coastal radio station to receive an SOS call, then there’s plenty about to keep you hooked for ages!
What are you waiting for? Start your Lizard Point Adventure!
